Sothen is a Middle English word that means to show to be true, to bear witness, to offer confirmation, to provide quiet comfort, tranquility, to assuage to someone that what they say is true.
As a couples therapist in Littleton, that's exactly what I offer you: a space to feel safe, heard, and truly seen. I offer you a place to be yourself or find yourself. Often in the company of another person we can heal our attachment wounds from the past, I can be that person or I help you and your person (spouse, partner(s), family member) to get to the place of feeling safe with each other.
I bring a diverse background to our therapeutic relationship, drawing from a wealth of life experiences and educational knowledge. My backgrounds in special education and massage therapy enrich my psychotherapy counseling practice, allowing me to tap into a variety of knowledge and experiences to support clients holistically. My cross-cultural exposure informs my approach, enabling me to listen attentively and provide thoughtful guidance that promotes your growth and well-being. My goal is to help you embrace your unique story and identity, recognizing the significance of your personal narrative.

My education and learning have never stopped. If I am not in formal schooling, I am reading books about all kinds of things and always trying to apply new knowledge. Ask me what I am currently reading or if you want a recommendation give me a topic. I also love a great fiction book, especially sci fantasy.
When I am not in my office or with clients I am in my garden or outside. I love living in Colorado where the nature is so beautiful. As a former massage therapist, I also love body-based activities and living in Colorado allows me to practice yoga, mindfulness, meditation in all kinds of settings.
